Sow columbine outdoors in a cold frame or protected seedbed, in spring to early summer in the North, fall in the South. Sow evenly and thinly and cover with 1/4" of fine soil. Keep evenly moist.
Columbine seeds can be Started early indoors. Will germinate best if the Sown seed trays or pots are chilled (refrigerated) at 40F for 3 to 4 weeks, and the trays or pots are then set outdoors for the summer.
