Another wood anemone for the woodland garden. An old, heirloom clone from England that keeps on piquing our interest and that was once given an Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. Palmately lobed leaves grace the understory, forming elegant ground covers. Spring brings dainty flowers, to 1.5" across, with around 5, soft lavender-blue petals. Grow in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil in partial shade. Plants tolerate drier conditions when dormant in summer.
