How to Grow

When seedlings reach 1-2", thin to stand 10" apart. In areas where summers are hot, the plants require some shade. Chervil will produce more abundant foliage in the cool seasons.

Harvesting

Fresh chervil leaves are highly prized for their anise flavor and are traditionally a common ingredient of fine herb mixtures. Add the young leaves to fish, poultry, salads, omelettes, and sauces. Chervil has a delicate appearance; plant it in an herb, vegetable, or naturalized garden.
