Sow outdoors in average soil in full sun in spring after danger of frost. Sow seeds thinly and cover with 1/4" of fine soil. Firm lightly and keep evenly moist. Seedlings emerge in 14-21 days.

Thin to stand about 12" apart. German chamomile tends to reseed readily, so there is no need to divide it.
The flowers of both types of chamomile make a soothing tea. Grow German chamomile in any open, sunny site in the herb garden. You can also use the fragrant, small white daisies of German chamomile to make perfumes or hair rinses.
