Gardening Tip of the Day

  • After the husks have turned brown and the kernels have dried a bit, harvest homegrown popcorn, shell the corn and pour it into clean old nylons. Hang the filled nylons from the rafters in the garage or garden shed. This allows air to circulate around the kernels resulting in uniform drying of the popcorn and a balanced moisture content critical for high-quality, “poppable” kernels.
