W. Atlee Burpee & Co. the leading supplier to the American home gardener has an immediate opening (s) for 1st & 2nd Packaging Machine Operators.  This position is responsible package our goods.  The position is a working position with a focus on providing QC, techniques for packaging, and trouble-shooting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe and productive operation of the machinery during the actual work order run.
• Performance of light adjustment/maintenance functions as trained and directed.
• Clean-Up and recordkeeping at the completion of each work order.
• Overall unit output as compared to standards for that machine and that product type.
• Incidences of error that cause excessive scrap or waste, or improperly packed product.
• Interpersonal skills in working with other peers and supervisors.
• Attendance performance including attendance and tardiness.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-3 years in operating an industrial packaging machine.
• Experience in light manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
