Pro Series Cage - Silver is rated out of 5 by 49.Rated 5 out of 5 by Chief from Tomato Cages These are great. The parts that extend into the ground will rust but still good. Stacking is necessary as tomatoes will grow 12 foot tall here. Saw some concerns on blowing over. I plant in beds with the plants [cages] off set. I stake the first one and the last one in my beds [12 to the bed]. Tie them together with cable ties. This makes a "big cage" sporting itself with the help of a couple of treated 1"X11/2" from Lowes. They are well worth the money. I have 30 with stackers.Date published: 2015-06-07Rated 5 out of 5 by YummyVegies from Worth every penny! I purchased 3 of these cages again this spring of 2014 after purchasing another set the year before. These cages will last many years and are excellent supports! They have made my gardening so much easier and are definitely worth every penny! Thank you Burpee!Date published: 2014-09-18Rated 5 out of 5 by Dufus from Good Quality For The Price - Expandable To A Tower I've had my tomato cages for a few years and the foldable design is what makes these cages awesome. When I was a child, my daddy had similar cages that lasted for ever. My first set was in 2008, 2nd set in 2010, and in 2014 I just added two sets of extender cages. The extension cages went on easy with the included brackets. I did have to stake them with a light weight steel fence post for added support (keep in mind the tomato cage is now 65 inches tall). *If I was to buy these cages again, I would get the wider XL size cages as these get overgrown with health tomato plants. Going to buy the extenders next, and I can't wait to get them. Don't waste your money (like I have in the past) on the plastic ones that snap in half after one summer...these really are a great addition to my garden!Date published: 2011-06-11Rated 4 out of 5 by sunny from Worry-free! Loved the look of this sturdy cage, but when considering purchase, we were concerned about all the little metal corners sticking down; they might scratch our arms when tending tomatoes. We eliminated our concern by simply sliding short lengths of drip system microtubing over the ends. Fit snugly! No worries!Date published: 2011-05-06Rated 5 out of 5 by StriperFisher from These cages rule!!!! Save space....obvious. Plant less plants...obvious. I've focused on tomatoes for over 25 years. Never had tomato production this late or this prolific. No chemicals or real care other than weeding. These are not cheap but you need these if you live in my area (SE PA)and care about production and eating tomatoes. Other tomato plants in the garden are dead....high-caged ones producing very tasty tomatoes...still! Will buy 3-6 more cage top units before next year. Nuff said.Date published: 2010-09-27Rated 4 out of 5 by DreamingOfAutumn from Well Worth the Money! These cages a remarkably sturdy and rust resistant. My only suggestion is that they send a heavier duty anchor with the cage extenders, some of my cages have started to lean when any kind of wind comes thru. If the anchors were a little longer and a heavier gauge I think it would help. Next year I will put a piece of rebar along side the inside of the cage with the most wind exposure to prevent toppling.Date published: 2010-08-25Rated 5 out of 5 by Alabaaster from Awesome! This cage is really great. I also bought the cage extenders. They are heavy duty and they fold up for easy storage. Well worth it!Date published: 2010-07-08
