Rated 5 out of 5 by chefmom7 from The best garden tool ever! Oh cow!! This has been the best garden tool ever. I read about this tool on a gardening Facebook page and decided to buy it at the beginning of the season and have used it all year. It cuts, digs, moves soil, and is most handy and convenient...oh, and it can be used as a protection against aggressive neighborhood dogs (just saying). The quality of this tool is excellent and I hope to use it for many more years to come. You will not be disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MamaKestrel from Excellent tool I bought this on impulse, and I'm already in love. The serated edge slices right through mats of quack-grass roots, making it amazingly easy to lift them out. The pointed tip slip under horizontal roots left in the ground, and that they come out with minimal effort because they're unanchored. I cleared more ground in an hour than I had in over a day using my standard tools. It's lightweight and fits easily in the hand, and I can already tell it's going to be one of my "go to" tools for everyth from weeding to lifting iris and day-lily. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it's very definitely a right-handed tool, and I am left handed. I had to switch hands to use it effectively, and while I'm ambidextrous enough to do that (a necessary survival skill in this right-handed world), my arm tired far sooner than it would have had I been able to use my dominant hand, and having to switch back and forth depending on what I was doing was awkward. On the other hand, i will give up my hori-hori when I give up my garden, which isn't happening in this lifetime! Now if someone would just come out with a left handed hori-hori, I will be in garden heaven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Temblor from Hori-Hori Gardening Knive The greatest gardening invention since the shovel! Beware cheap knock-offs, the materials are far inferior. This tool will last a lifetime, the knock-offs a year or two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BurpeeGardenExpert from Versatile garden knife has many uses. We were looking for a versatile garden knife like the Japanese Hori-Hori Knife (means Dig-Dig in Japanese) and we found a safer, and just as practical tool. We use it to dig, cut roots, chop branches and cut twine.
