Pro Series Folding Plant Supports is rated out of 5 by 2.Rated 5 out of 5 by Maga from Very Sturdy - Multi Purpose This frame is incredibly sturdy, and I initially bought them to use for tomato plants, but my peas were in desperate need of some support. I am using Farm Daddy growing boxes, and I just opened the three of them flat and made a trellis! These supports are so well made; I can see using them for many years to come.Date published: 2014-05-02Rated 5 out of 5 by NYBurpeeFan from Fantastic Plant Supports! These plant supports are fantastic. Here's a great way to use them -- I fold 2 of them together to create a tomato ladder that gives me more width for the tomato to grow, and it gives more support for the tomato. There's enough of an opening for me to reach in and maneuver the plant. Once they are folded around the plant, I tie the 2 two supports together, although that's probably not even necessary once you push them into the ground. This makes it a little pricey because they come in sets of 3, but it is well worth it because two used together are quite sturdy and yet allow more room for the tomato to grow in between, yet you still have ample room to access the vines. In fact, it becomes so easy to wind the tomato vines around the supports, that I have had much less tying to do. If you found the tomato cages to be hard to manage/get into, or if you found the tomato ladders to be not wide enough, try ordering these supports, and put 2 of them together -- your problems will be solved. These are just great! Although they are fairly sturdy if 2 are used togther, the only thing I would suggest to Burpee --- PLEASE make these supports a little thicker & stronger, and about 10 inches higher....then they would be absolutely perfect and I would buy many more!Date published: 2012-06-06
