Identify your plants the easy way. The over-sized name plate (1 1/4" x 3 1/2") allows plenty of room for notes and the black carbon pencil is indelible. The stakes are 11 1/2" long so you can anchor them securely. The labels are made of brushed zinc, which will not rust, and you can erase by buffing gently with fine steel wool. Both labels and stakes will stand up to years of use in any weather. Each package contains 25 labels and stakes and one marking pencil.

Erasing Plant MarkersJust recieved these markers, so I can not say how they will hold up in the garden. I just wanted to say that if you don't have any fine steel wool, a paper towel dampened with vinegar willl also work quite well.

o.k., but not greatThese markers are probably fine if you only have a few letters to write in bold and go over it several times with the provide pencil, but I have found that my full plant names are almost unreadable after only 1month outside- I'll be sticking to plastic plant markers with a sharpie in the future

These stakes take the cake! These are the best Metal Plant Markers that I have ever used. I didn't think these markers would come in handy until the Spring, but I was wrong. With all the wind, snow, sleet and ice that we normally get in the Winter, I was worried I might not be able to find certain plants in the spring. I used a few of these great plant markers, along with the pencil that comes with them, and even after the rain, sleet, and snow we've had, the markers are still standing nice and tall. Better yet, the writing is as fresh as it was last September. Thanks Burpee for coming up with a better way to mark my perennials over the winter.
