Watermelon, Georgia Rattlesnake is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bland Taste Had difficulty getting the plants to grow. First seeds did not sprout (perhaps due to the cold spring we had this year). Reseeded with both Georgia Rattlesnake seeds from this year and some Big Tasty Hybrid seeds left over from two years ago. Both came up. Georgia Rattlesnake watermelons were moderately sized with thick white rind and bland flavor. Big Tasty Hybrid watermelon was delicious. I will definitely go back to raising Big Tasty Hybrids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rattlesnake watermelon Planted these last year 2012, just because I had the room. Didn't expect much, as I garden seeded them the 3rd week of May. Kept them weeded, but other than that just let them go. Received rain up until the second week of August, then nothing the rest of the season. By the middle of Sept. I had 27 watermelons over 20 lbs. a piece and 15 more between 8 and 12 lbs. That didn't have time to ripen before cold weather hit. All from 9 plants. Gave most of them away, but no one would believe I raised them here. Brought the fully ripened ones inside before a heavy frost, eating the last one for Thanksgiving. Still crisp and unbelievably sweet. Certainly will plant them again in 2013. Thanks Burpee for a wonderful experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Watermelon! Last year I decided to experiment with watermelon in the back yard. By the end of the season I had produced over 1,500 lbs. of watermelon and was the neighborhood hero. I would have loved to purchase seed again this year but I had so many voluntary vines come back I'm not sure I'll ever need to buy seed again. The seeds had a very high germination rate and really grew fast. I ate more watermelon than should be humanly possibly and juiced the rest to make the most incredibly fresh watermelon margaritas this side of the Milky Way. If your not growing Georgia Rattlesnakes, your wrong!
