Watermelon, Charleston Gray is rated out of 5 by 4.Rated 5 out of 5 by southernchick from Way better than store bought Crimson Sweet waterme These did really good, I started mine from seed, late in the season(end of July), and I was very surprised they did so well. Two plants made 2 melons a piece and were really sweet. Was sad I didn't plant more earlier in the season.Date published: 2015-12-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Jamaica from Consistent Producer I have grown this melon for many years. It is the only watermelon that has proven to be a consistent producer in this cool climate at 5000 feet elevation. Nice size, excellent flavor.Date published: 2013-09-05Rated 5 out of 5 by FarmerDave from super heirloom Very large and very sweet. this is the most consistent producer in my garden for 20 years.Date published: 2012-05-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Knicoblu from Charleston Grey Watermelon 1 starter plant placed in garden during the latter part of the growing season. No special attention given other than watering to keep ground moist. Just wanted to fill open spot in garden. Glad I planted this. Mellon cut off vine after first frost weighted over 30lbs. Excellent skin tone with sweet watermellon taste. While I gave no special attention to helping this plant grow, this spring I diffently will plant Charleston Grey's and look forward to another sweet harvest.Date published: 2007-12-20
