Full Description

A fruit dream come true, Pluot® is a sublime hybrid of 70% plum, 30% apricot. ‘Flavor Supreme’s sweet, richly flavored, medium to large fruits triumph in taste tests. Attractive trees produce large, delicious harvest of prettily mottled green-maroon fruits with firm red flesh. Smooth-skinned like a plum, sturdy fruits are loaded with luscious flavor, the nectarous juiciness of a fully ripe plum, and a nutritional bonanza of vitamins A and C. Vigorous upright 12-18 ft. semi-dwarf trees produce an outsize harvest mid-June to early July. Pollinated by other Pluots®, or late Santa Rosa and Burgundy plums. Winter hardy; resists root knot nematodes. Chilling requirements of 700-800 hours below 45°F.
