Melon, Venus Hybrid (Honey Dew) is rated out of 5 by 2.Rated 5 out of 5 by mamaduck from My personal choice This wonderfully prolific, delicious, and aromatic melon is my personal favorite 'Honey Dew' type. Not only is it tasty but the color makes a beautiful addition to mixed fruit and melon bowls. I like to grow this one and 'Ambrosia' cantaloupe, no matter which other melons I experiment with each year.Date published: 2012-01-28Rated 5 out of 5 by IowaGardner from Best Honey Dew If I was limited to only one honey dew melon, the Venus would be it with no doubts. This melon produced constantly through the season so I had fresh melons all the time. The vines were vigorous and the melons were larger than advertised. They were simply delicious with firm flesh and fantastic flavor. Several weighed in excess of 10 lbs. I highly recommend this melon for anyone.Date published: 2007-11-11
