Fig, Letizia is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fig Trees Grows Like Jack and the Bean Stalk I bought two of these tree each a year apart. The first one I bought was in late fall and I was basically shipped a stick about a foot high in a box of dirt. Due to Ohio weather I stored it in my garage until nearly spring. I thought the thing might even be dead but before you know it, birds were singing and snow was melting. I convinced my wife to let me bring it indoors for a few weeks prior to putting it out on our deck. With a cup of water and a little sunlight through the front door the stick came to life and grew like crazy, in just a few days it developed signs of leaves and future growth. It grew to about four feet tall the first year and probably produced over 20 figs. The next year it grew another two feet and finally topped out a about 7 feet with a harvest of about 50 figs. I move my fig trees back into our attached garage every year for storage due to the harsh winter weather. The second tree came a year later and was much more like a bush. It grew like crazy too and produced about 10 edible figs the first year. This is a really nice fig tree for your deck because it only gets about seven feet tall and can be easily grown in a large container. I can easily store my trees in the corner of my garage until the next year making it ideal for a northerner to grow figs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my fig plant! I ordered my plant in the spring and it was very well packaged. It was a little guy, but over the summer it's grown immensely and is about 3 feet tall already! I already have 4 small figs growing on it already and can't wait until they're ready to pick. So glad I purchased my first gig plant from burpee and will definitely order more next spring!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast grower Bought three different fig plants from burpee this year and all, including this one, are thriving in their 15 gallon pots with composted organic soil. They have been living in full sun all summer and I rarely water them (we've had a good bit of rain). They have more than quadrupled the size they shipped at and are doing awesome. Will over winter in heated garage. Fingers crossed they survive and produce figs next year! I only wish I had bought more as gifts for friends!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Letizia Fig is Growing Quickly I ordered this Letizia Fig this past spring because the tree/shrub is supposed to stay on the small size. I planted the small rooted cutting in a five gallon container in good potting soil. Here it is September in Tucson and I have three long branches (2-3 ft. long @), all loaded with fruit. I tasted the first fig last week as soon as the stem end drooped. Very sweet and nice flavor. Am planning on putting this plant in the ground within the next couple of weeks. Will cover the plant with bird netting next summer to protect my crop as the birds here eat every fruit and vegetable that isn't covered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tasty figs I planted a very short tree in the fall and had delicious figs growing on a 4 ft beauty in late summer the next year. The fruit is sweet and delicious!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small plant - expected a small Tree... I ordered this tree for my grandmother's garden who loves figs. I was quite excited after reading the reviews, but surprised when I received my plant that it was a plant - not even a foot tall. All the reviews here mentioned how wonderful the tree is, but I want to be sure to mention this tree won't produce fruit I imagine for a couple of years!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from More Like Rooted Cutting This was an extremely expensive fig tree given that I received a tree that was about 8 inches tall. I have purchased fruit trees from Burpee in the past and I was expecting something that was at least a couple feet. I could have bought a 5 foot tree that was already fruiting for the same price. It will probably take a couple years to experience the fruit- if a little cutting this size can make it through the intense summer here in Phoenix.
