How to Sow
Start indoors in warm, well-lighted area about 8 weeks before last spring frost. Sow seeds very shallowly. Barely press into seed-Starting formula, as light aides germination. Keep moist.
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in about 15 days at 70-75°F. Transplant to individual containers when seedlings have at least 2 pairs of leaves. Before transfer to garden, accustom seedlings to outdoor conditions by moving them to a sheltered place outside for a week. SET PLANTS 9-12" apart in the garden in a shady or semi-shady location with average soil after danger of frost.
Harvesting
Torenia is useful for shady beds and borders, or as an edging. In masses, it forms an attractive annual groundcover. Torenia is also an excellent plant for small containers and window boxes.
