Nonstop waves of darling blooms in powder white with lemon yellow centers.
There is no other petunia that will brighten your garden with nonstop waves of color like new Baby Duck. Just two or three of these super-strong plants quickly fill the garden bed with a cascade of darling 1½" blooms in powder white with cheery lemon yellow center starbursts. Untouched by summer's heat, humidity or rain, the self-cleaning plants require no deadheading or cutting back to look their best. Enjoy splashes of glistening color right up until frost.
Start indoors in a warm, well-lighted area about 8 weeks before last frost. Sow thinly and just press into planting formula. Keep moist.
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in 10-14 days at 70-75°F. Before transfer to garden, accustom to outdoor conditions by moving to a sheltered place outside for a week. SET PLANTS in a spot with average to rich, well-drained soil that receives partial shade. Water regularly and deadhead to encourage new blooms; cut scraggly plants back by half in late summer to spur growth and encourage new flowers to form.
Petunias make beautiful edging plants and also can be combined with other summer-blooming annuals in mixed plantings. They are superb in containers of all sizes and types, either alone or combined with other flowers. Their flowers attract both hummingbirds and moths.
