Demurely gorgeous color for the shade garden and containers.
Utterly demure light pink blossoms that seem to have come from a Japanese teacup. Prettily highlighted with large cherry eyes. One of the components in the Tokyo Spring mix, offered as a separate color.
Start indoors in a warm, well-lighted area about 8-10 weeks before last frost. Sow shallowly in seed-Starting formula. Keep evenly moist.
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in 18-28 days at 70-75°F. Before transfer to garden, accustom to conditions by moving to a sheltered place outside for a week. SET PLANTS 12" apart in a semi to fully shaded area with average soil after all danger of frost.
Impatiens make beautiful temporary groundcovers in shade gardens. They also can be planted among shade-loving perennials such as hostas to bring summer-long color to shady flower beds. Plant them in large drifts and let them fill in, or use them as edging plants along walkways, terraces, or at the front of a bed or border. Impatiens even make nice additions to container plantings. Hummingbirds, butterflies, and other beneficials visit many species of impatiens.
