NGA Rookie Gardener from
Beautiful Flowers, poor germination but worth iti bought these and had very poor germination rate however I am buying these again. I am a somewhat newish gardener so that may explain part of it. These flowers are strong and the plant itself was bigger than i anticipated. Once transplanted outdoors they required very little maintenance. The beautiful flowers spilled off my porch with a marvelous display. i had many compliments on this and the few that germinated grew very big. i believe i only had 6 after all was said and done from one seed packet.. i only knock one of the stars because of germination. This is wonderful for over the railing displays and hanging baskets. They did not droop over but rather "fanned" out in a wonderful display. I did have them on a porch with good morning light. I am in zone 7b in North Georgia.

Very disappointed - twice!!I bought 2 packets of ten seeds last growing season (2015) and none of them germinated. I was willing to try them again this year (2016) so I ordered 2 more packets of seeds. Out of 20 seeds planted, only 3 have germinated. They were started indoors, under lights, in a Burpee seed starter kit so I have no idea why the success rate is so poor. I have seen these available in a few garden centers in hanging baskets and I think they are lovely but given the expense, I'm not willing to try these again since there are so many other pretty flowers that are much easier to grow. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I did not have any problems with germination, probably over 90% seeds germinated. The plants grew very nicely and looked beautiful in combination with petunias. However, I wish that they have more blooms.

Germination FairThere were only about 10 seeds in the packet. It would help if the number of seeds and germination percentage were printed on the catalogue info. I had only 3 seeds germinate.

ivy geraniumI ordered 2 packets containing 20 individual seeds total. They were seeded in seed germination potting mix in 20 individual biodegradable pots kept moist. Unfortunately only 7 of the 20 seeds germinated. The seedlings are still small and have not yet produced flowers but look very healthy so far. I have now moved them to hanging baskets and added fertilizer spikes. I am disappointed in the 35% germination rate given the high cost including shipping but am hoping the survivors thrive and flower. I can always propagate more by cuttings once the plants are bigger to make up for the 13 that did not germinate.

Gorgeous!I loved these flowers! I recieved so many compliments on how great they looked. I really have nothing bad to say about them, just a couple of tips.
1. Germination was excellent, I only had a couple that didn't work; but I would still recommend purchasing more than you think you need, just in case.
2. They are fairly heavy feeders. I used miracle grow once a week and that seemed to be sufficient.
3. They took a lot longer to really take off and cascade in the garden than I would have liked. I recommend starting these a couple of weeks earlier than suggested on the packet. They do last a long time in the garden, though! The picture showing the geraniums in the boxes by our front door was taken in October!
