A sumptuous, long-lasting floral carpet in borders and rock gardens.
Crystal Rose is a densely growing geranium with dark green divided foliage and deep-pink flowers on short stems held close to the foliage. Its dense, low growing habit makes it perfect for borders and rock gardens. Flowers in May-June.
Start indoors in a warm, well-lighted area 10-12 weeks before last spring frost. Sow seeds
1/4" deep in flats or individual containers filled with seed Starting formula. Keep moist.
Seedlings emerge in 7-21 days at 70-75 F. If Started in flats, transplant to individual
containers when seedlings have at least 2 pairs of leaves. Before transfer to garden, accustom
seedlings to outdoor conditions by moving to a sheltered place outside for a week.
How to Grow Geranium (Perennial)
Plant outdoors after danger of frost. Space 1' apart in full sun to part shade in well-drained
soil. Most thrive in moist, humusy soil but can tolerate poor soil. Avoid drying out, to keep
foliage green longer on plants. Where summers are hot, soil should be kept evenly moist. When
well-grown in rich soil, plants tend to naturalize. Cut back hard after blooming to encourage
further blooming. Provide a good winter mulch in colder areas.
