so far so goodsown outdoors and they have sprouted...some seeds were duds but many have sprouted regardless...not sure how they will hold up once they get going.

Indoor sow going just fineBought a packet from the clearance lot Nov 2013, figured still a good deal if half came up.
Happy to report: first batch of 24 cells sown indoors 2/14/14, ALL 48 seeds planted came up, and are doing well after being separated & moved up to 4" peat pots.
I had kept the seeds in a ziploc in the veggie bin to keep them from drying out over winter - I think this is one of those plants which actually benefits from 'pre-chilling' the seed as well.
I'll update this once I see how they take outside....

wouldn't starti tried to start these seeds in february indoors to no avail. not one came up. very disappointed. i have grown california poppies in the past with good results.
