Four O'Clock, Marbles Mix
Rare, striped, trumpet-shaped flowers with a sweet, orange-blossom scent.
This collection produces a sweep of 1½" flowers in white marbled pink, rose, red and yellow, and 4 o'clock is about the time the striped, trumpet-shaped flowers open, suffusing the air with a sweet, orange-blossom scent. Plants attract hummingbirds by day and moths by night. Great for border or container. Plant in average, well-drained soil after last frost, and this annual will reward you with a summer full of colors.
Sow four o’clocks seeds in average soil in full sun after danger of frost. Sow about 6" apart and cover with 1/2" of fine soil. Firm lightly and keep evenly moist.
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in 7-10 days. Thin to stand 12-18" apart when seedlings are 1-2" high. Four oclocks are easy to grow in most soils and can withstand heat, humidity, and drought. They require full sun to bloom well but they also tolerate light shade.
Four oclocks are colorful annuals for beds, borders, and containers. They make poor cut flowers because they do not always remain open. These flowers are good for children to grow, since they are colorful, easy to plant, and fast growing.
