Each flower is a work of art that has unique color patterns.
Also called Orchid Iris, this variety is cross between the blue Iris histroides and yellow Iris winnogradowii. The result is a dramatic combination of pale blue with yellow crest and dark blue veins. Plants are dwarf and extremely hardy, very early to bloom and display their colors in overcast skies and in freezing rain. They will perform best when planted in well drained soil that will be dry in the summer. This is the perfect plant for winter gardens, rock gardens, naturalizing and even for forcing.
