The strawberry fruit-loving gardeners are talking about.
‘Flavorfest’ may well become the sweet new ruler of the strawberry patch. Mid-season variety stands out for large, pleasantly plump, bright-red fruits with first-rate flavor and awesome yields. Breakthrough berry was bred by the USDA, and is one big, juicy improvement over available varieties. Vigorous plants propagate well. Good option for organic gardeners with excellent disease resistance.

Five blooming strawberries in January!Yielding 5 flowers/strawberries already (two hidden under leaf in picture)?! It's only January. My other strawberry plants (Sweet Charlie, Chandler, Earliglow and Pineberry) are still dormant as expected. The Flavorfest plant handled being transplanted twice. Planted in one part sand to two parts soil.
