Broccoli is sometimes bothered by common pests. If they are a problem in your garden, the best solution is to use floating row covers to keep out any insects. To prevent diseases avoid planting broccoli in the same spot each year.

| HARVEST TIPS
Pick broccoli when the heads have formed into tight, firm clusters. Using a sharp knife cut off the head with about 6 inches of stem attached. This will encourage growth of the side shoots for additional, smaller harvests.
