A few weeks ago we got 2 blueberry bushes (1 Jewel, 1 emerald ) and now they are both starting to flower. We live in Little Rock, Arkansas and the plants have been outside since we got them. Is there any actions we can take or should take so we can still get fruit in the spring? Too late to remove the buds?

thank you

<![CDATA[Protecting Blueberries from Freeze]]> http://www.burpee.com/community/discussion/441/protecting-blueberries-from-freeze I have two newly planted blueberry bushes in large pots. What is the best way to protect them from a spring frost?

<![CDATA[Question about Top Hat Blueberry]]> http://www.burpee.com/community/discussion/442/question-about-top-hat-blueberry This is the first year I planted a top hot blueberry. Will it produce fruit this year? (I am in Zone 7). If not, should I remove any blooms once they start to emerge?

<![CDATA[Blueberries]]> http://www.burpee.com/community/discussion/443/blueberries I have 4 Blueberry plants 2 yrs old. They are in 3 gal pots and I want to put them in a raised strawberry bed. When do I transplant them? Do they need protection from the freezing temp which we are approaching. Is there a publication that I can buy for detailed info?

<![CDATA[Having problems getting soil acidic]]> http://www.burpee.com/community/discussion/444/having-problems-getting-soil-acidic This is the first year I've planted blueberries. I have a tophat plant that looks to be doing fine, however, when I test the acidity level of the soil, it is nowhere near acidic, and I worry that this will prevent the plant from producing fruit. I have been adding dried coffee grounds to the soil weekly and testing it about a week later, but still no results. I like to try to garden as naturally and chemically free as possible, so is there anything besides or in addition to the coffee grounds that will make the soil more acidic? What amount of dried coffee grounds is sufficient, and how often after I add them should I re-test the soil?

<![CDATA[Dead blueberry]]> http://www.burpee.com/community/discussion/445/dead-blueberry I had a 10-12 year old fully established blueberry bush that did not seem to make it after this winter. It is odd because all my other bushes are already fruiting (it was a mild winter here in chicago and Spring came early). Do blueberries ever go dormant? I hate to cut it down without being sure that it is truly dead. The branches do not seem to be dried out, but I do not see green and it has no leaves at all. What could have happened? The soil is acidic enough...
