Starting a veggie garden at High Altitude?

Good evening! My husband and I are closing on a house on May 29th of this year. The house has existing garden which hasn't been used in years. My question is, if I can get the garden tilled, resoiled, and seeds planted, would it be considered to late to start growing? The altitude at the new house is just about 7,800 above sea level.

It's hard to say without a zone or zipcode?  But I think you'd be fine, I'm at about the same level and I just added some seeds & transplants to my garden.
