Direct Seeding

Direct seeding or direct sowing basically means that you start plant seeds in your garden, rather than sowing earlier in pots. Many seeds of both flowers and vegetables can be started outdoors, at the start of your growing season. Seed packets have all of the planting instructions you will need.

What flowers and/or vegetables are you going to sow directly in your garden?

Re: Direct Seeding

We direct sow the cucumbers, peas, carrots, parsnips, peanuts, soybeans, corn, popcorn, and (I'm not sure if it counts) potatoes.

For flowers we do sunflowers, poppies, and zinnias.

Re: Direct Seeding

Some plants like coriander, mint etc. You do not need to take much care of it. As soon as you spread the seed, in very few days it start grown.
