carrot watering

How much water do carrots need?  Some of my carrot seeds fell in the trenches in between my rows, so they get a LOT of water especially when it rains... I am just wondering what to expect from these seedlings when they start growing.  (I live in Florida, zone 8)

Re: carrot watering

I grow mine in 12" deep flower boxes.  I drill about 8 - 10 drainage holes in the bottom, and whenever I water, I water till it comes out the holes.  That way, I know the soil is moist all the way down, and the roots wont have difficulty growing through it

If you have good draining soil you should be fine
