Re: Marigolds

The French Marigolds are a small species called Tagetes patula, they are usually only about 8-12 inches tall, small flowers and make an excellent bedding plants.

An African(also known as American) Marigold are a tall species  Tagetes erecta 18 to 36 inches tall. It is more of an upright plant and has larger flowers. It makes a nice back round  plant

Recently they have be some new crosses call Triploids which is a shorter plant with large flowers

Fun fact, they both French and African  Marigolds originated in Mexico
