Raised Garden Bottom Root Barrier

My garden areas were treated for termites.  I was instructed not to grow any edible plants for ten years.  I hate to waste the space and plan to put in a raised  garden.  What can I use to ensure that the roots will not go into the treated soil beneath the raised garden?

Re: Raised Garden Bottom Root Barrier

When you are starting are raised bed always remove any grass or weeds to prevent them from rotting, then use a barrier to prevent the roots from growing into the soil.  You can use weed block or several sheets of newspaper  it just needs to be porous to let the water pass through.
