blueberries flowering in December

Hello All,
A few weeks ago we got 2 blueberry bushes (1 Jewel, 1 emerald ) and now they are both starting to flower. We live in Little Rock, Arkansas and the plants have been outside since we got them. Is there any actions we can take or should take so we can still get fruit in the spring? Too late to remove the buds?

thank you

tim

I am not a Blueberry expert, but we have a few plants ourselves.  If you just recieved these plants, and they are young, you will want to pinch the blooms the first few years to promote plant growth for future production on larger plants.  This is probably not the answer you wanted, but for a stonger more productive plant in the future, this is the best way to go about it. Good Luck, Brian

The other answer is correct. You want to discourage fruit went the plant is young. It will pay off later on.
