Help! My Clematis will not bloom.

I have had this Clematis for 10 years.  I have it outside (zone 6) in a nice, sunny location.  It gets watered regularly, and I have even added Miracle Grow for Bloomers, but I am still not getting blooms.  Every year since the first year I planted it, I only get 6-8 flowers.  the plant itself looks extremely healthy.  Any suggestions, please!

Re: Help! My Clematis will not bloom.

Clematis not blooming is a rather common problem it is usually takes 5 years just to mature. Clematis does not like too much fertilizer and it will not flower if it gets if too much nitrogen. It is best to fertilize clematis with an organic  granular balanced fertilizer. Fertilize once early spring and once in June.

Also don’t prune the plant they set next year’s flowers on this year’s wood.  Clematis like their roots cool so use a mulch around the plant.
