Protecting Blueberries from Freeze

I have two newly planted blueberry bushes in large pots. What is the best way to protect them from a spring frost?

Move the pots to a protected sight for the winter before the first freeze is expected. You want a spot to protected from the winds. You will have to keep an eye on them and water them when they get dry. In the spring move them back as soon as the new growth starts.

Does this go for winter as well? I have a top hat container blueberry first year and not sure how to take care of it. There are some long spears coming out of the top too. We are in Northern Virginia so I think we are zone 8.

Blueberries can take a frost, however you can cover them with any lightweight fabric or newspaper when a frost is expected.
