It is possible but they will not be happy. Choose a bush type ‘Sugar Baby’ Watermelon is the easiest to grow, do not choose a seedless variety. Make sure the plant is healthy with lots of water and regular fertilizer application.  Watch out for insects and diseases they are quite susceptible in a stressful situation. Nothing smaller than a 16 inch container.
