Make certain that the leaves were picked before the  lovage flowers. Lovage has a strong flavor so use less that you would with celery.

You can also use the stems of the lovage plant as straws for a Bloody (Virgin) Many. Simply wash thoroughly and clip the ends. For a celery taste.
