'Peas-in-a-Pot

"Peas-n-a-Pot," a great pea to grow in a container. It has vines that are only two feet long.

I like clay pots, as I think they dry out better.

I've ordered these peas to try. I grow my entire vegetable garden in pots. I've used many different types of containers. I usually go for plastic. They are lighter and can be moved more easily.

As for topping pea vines...I'm no expert, but I don't think trimming the vines is good idea. May damage entire plant.

I wanted to know if I could "top" sugar snap pea vines.  By topping I mean to remove the top of the vine about a foot above ground.  This way the lower shoots would grow up effectively doubling the vines.  Can this be done without killing the vine?
