fungus in garden

I have noticed a lot of fungus in the form of mushroom-like growths.  Some are furry in appearance and then others are capped with stems, then flat with stems.  Help!  I have tried to apply garden sulfur, but not helping yet.  I do not want my "crops" to be ruined.

Are you noticing this growth in your vegetable garden? What is it on - dirt, bark dust, etc. Mushrooms usually grow when the ground is too wet. There are other kinds of fungus. Take a photo and send or take to your local Master Gardener office (Extension Service). Call ahead and find out what they need to diagnose.

Thanks for the advice.  The problem has somewhat resolved itself...It had occured after we had two or three days of heavy rain...so your response makes a lot of sense.  Thanks again
