Cucumber plants wilting

Every summer it seems my cucumbers grow fantastic, start to produce the first edible fruits and then the plants leaves turn yellow, then brown and everything dies. I've tried growing on trellises etc and nothing helps. Can you give me any suggestions? BTW the cukes I grow are Palace King, I won't grow any other (they are that good!)

Re: Cucumber plants wilting

It sounds like it could either be a cucumber vine bore or it could be a disease called cucumber wilt which is caused by a bacteria. You should rotate your crops every year to help prevent diseases. You will want to check for a hole at the bottom of stem to see if it is an insect.
