mold on seedlings

I'm experiencing some white "mold" on my seedlings. Will this harm them? I'm using a selfwatering system and a grow light.

Re: mold on seedlings

White mold (sclerotinia) is caused by a fungal infection and their spores are in the air. If the infection is bad it can harm your seedlings, If you can remove the fungus off the soil.  You need to increase the air circulation. If the dome is still on the tray remove it and let the soil dry out a little . A fan in the room will increase the air circulation, but do not let the fan blow directly on the tender seedling.

Re: mold on seedlings

This happened to 2 of my seedlings as well.  One I had to replace, and the other one I was able to remove the mold and it seems to be doing ok now.
