My garden is entitled Xandu. It is a haven for insects, birds, small mammals, reptiles, and people. I began it about 10 years ago when we had some awful trees taken down and were left with a "space" It spreads out every year. I leave my plants close together to support as many insects as possible, which goes up the food change. There are perennials, (many are native plants) bulbs, annuals for cutting, rhizomes etc. I have something in boom from Hellebores in very early spring to mums and a few hardy roses into Oct. I have incorporated "found art" and have cast some birdbaths from huge rhubarb leaves. As I look out today, the garden seems in motion with birds, butterflies, and a great group of dragonflies. Life is peaceful in the garden.
