Help, with my Caladiums

I live in Zone 6, the suburbs outside of Philly, and I have a question concerning my caladium tubers.  I planted a new batch of caladium tubers in a very large flower pot (about 3 ft. high, and 2 ft. wide) on my front steps 3 weeks ago.  I am watering them with a mild solution of water and miracle grow, but I am not seeing any signs of life.  Do caladiums need more time to grow?  Have I planted them too early?  Am I doing something wrong?  Can someone give me some suggestions as to how I can help them to grow.  HELP, PLEASE!

Many thanks for the information.  I thought they may be gonners because I planted them way too early.  I will hope that after the soil warms up a little more, then they will begin to sprout.  Cool

Re: Help, with my Caladiums

Caladiums, want to be planted knobby side up. They like it warm with temperatures staying above 70 degrees. If the temperatures are too cool they will not grow but stay dormant. They are tropical bulbs so just give it more time for the soil to warm up.
