Seeds vs Established Plants

For the first 2 years I have bought tomato plants at a local nursery, and will buy some this year - but also planning to start seeds in basement under lamps. I want to try some of those yellow pear-shaped small tomatoes, plus some of those plum tomatoes for canning. I think I have about 4 or 5 varieties of tomatoes - are they going to cross-pollinate each other and not end up looking like they should.

I do not have any heirloom seeds/plants this year so am guessing I will not contaminate them by having other tomato seeds around. Any advice would be appreciated.

The fruit will be fine cross pollinated only affects the seeds.
