To aid germination, soak morning glory seeds overnight. Sow in average soil in full sun after danger of frost. Sow about 6"" apart and cover with 1/2"" of fine soil. Firm lightly and keep evenly moist."
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in 7-21 days. Thin to stand about 12" apart when seedlings are 1" high. Morning glories need a support such as strings or a trellis on which to climb. Training morning glory plants to grow up and onto shrubs is another option, one that can turn an all-green shrub into a colorful focal point in summer. Morning glories grow more up than out, so you’ll want to plant several in order to have a good show.
Train morning glories, cypress vines, and cardinal climbers on strings or wires to cover walls, fences, trellises, or arbors. Morning glory plants also trail beautifully from hanging baskets and window boxes.
